Cell-line authentication

Ensuring the authenticity of your cell line is crucial for maintaining research integrity and reproducibility. At the ATGC, we offer comprehensive cell-line authentication services to verify that you are working with the correct cell line and to identify potential issues such as contamination, misidentification, or genetic changes.
We use the Promega GenePrint® 24 System, an advanced method that amplifies 23 Short Tandem Repeat (STR) loci along with Amelogenin for gender determination. The resulting STR profiles are analyzed using GeneMapper® IDX software and cross-referenced with a comprehensive published database to confirm cell line identity and detect discrepancies. This approach ensures accurate identification by determining the number of shared alleles between the tested sample and database entries. By relying on the latest technology and databases, we deliver precise and reliable results, allowing you to proceed with confidence, knowing that your cell lines are accurate and uncontaminated.
Additionally, for those who require it, we offer DNA extraction services to facilitate the authentication process. For more information on our extraction services, please visit our DNA/RNA extraction webpage.
Before submitting samples for our cell-line authentication service, please read our samples delivery instructions, fill and send us the CLA electronic sample sheet.
